45.7 acres were purchased in 2012. A new road named Westborough Drive was constructed running south from Park Row to the I-10 frontage road. An access road was constructed just north of the 6 pad sites that front on I-10. Three (3) curb cuts were made including the major curb cut for Westborough Drive giving the entire site excellent access to I-10.

Water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer lines were extended to the entire site and a 5.3 acre detention pond was created on the northeast corner of the 45.7 acre site.

The site was subdivided with 15.6 acres east of Westborough Drive being purchased by Kaplan, which was developed into The District at Westborough – a 340 unit luxury multi-family apartment complex.

2.5 acres, Lot I, on the northwest corner of the site was developed into a Best Western Premier Hotel.

1.6 acres, Lot G, on the west side of Westborough Drive, was purchased for the future site of a Comfort Suites Hotel.

2.5 acres, Lot K, on the west side of Westborough Drive, was developed into a Cornelius Nursery.

1.148 acres, Lot L, on the west side of Westborough Drive, was purchased for the future site of an IHG Hotel.

Two (2) well known restaurant chains, Longhorn Steakhouse (Lot C) and BJ’s Restaurant-Brewhouse (Lot D), were developed at the corner of Westborough Drive and I-10. Newk’s Eatery (Lot A) and Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar (Lot B) were developed fronting on I-10, west of Westborough Drive. Uncle Julio’s Mexican Restaurant (Lot E) and Bombshells Restaurant and Bar (Lot F) were developed fronting on I-10, east of Westborough Drive.

1.783 acres - Lot M is available on the west side of Westborough Drive with direct access to Westborough Drive and I-10 Feeder Road – a prime site for retail or commercial buildings.
